Big Little Beta Read

We designed our signature Big Little Beta Read for three types of authors:

1. Authors with rough drafts. "I'm done? I'm done! Oh no, what now?"

2. Authors on a budget. "I'm saving up for a full edit, but I'm not ready yet."

3. Authors with a problem. "I can't figure out how to fix my second act."

 

A Big Little Beta Read includes a read-through of the entire manuscript, no matter its condition, and a custom evaluation of about eight to ten pages:

• Analysis. What's working and what's not (and why).

• Insight. Storytelling tools from a fiction editor who has seen it all.

• Practical advice. Clear guidance on where to focus your next revision.​

What a Big Little Beta Read doesn't include:

​

• edits in the margins (for that, see developmental or line editing)

• garden-variety writing tips you've heard or read a million times before
